Go behind the lens of our latest ISLA collection shoot—set against the dreamy backdrop of a  lake house in Bentonville, Virginia!

Shot in the warmth of summer, styled for the start of fall—our latest ISLA shoot captures the seasonless ease that defines our Private Label.


The Scene

We shot our newest ISLA collection on one of those almost-too-hot summer days—the kind that makes you crave iced coffee before 9 a.m. It was high 80s, full sun, and we were sweating in all the best ways. But the setting? Totally worth it. We spent the day at a cozy lake house in Bentonville, Virginia, owned by a couple who’s lived there since 1985. They raised their three kids—two boys and a girl—on that property, and you could feel the history and heart in every corner.

The Collection

Even though it was summer, we were shooting ISLA’s fall drop—a collection full of easy pieces made to help you transition into the season without overthinking it. We styled everything to feel relaxed but pulled together: think flowy dresses, soft knits, effortless tops, and versatile bottoms you’ll want to live in. There’s plenty of texture, soft neutrals, and a little edge with pieces like lightweight denim and laid-back sets that go from day to night.

The Energy

The energy on set was low-key and real. With a small crew and the beauty of the property doing most of the work, we let the light guide us—shooting on porches, through tall grass, and in quiet corners that felt untouched. No big setups, no fussy backdrops—just beautiful clothes and a good setting.

We kept styling simple and true to the ISLA vibe. A brown floral skirt set, a cozy sweater set, and a classic barn jacket with jeans were just a few of the looks that captured that easy, early fall feel—effortless, wearable, and made to move with you.

Fall Starts Here

And just as we wrapped, the clouds rolled in and we got hit with a warm summer rain—marking the perfect end to a shoot that was all about movement, ease, and letting the moment lead.
